Christmas is Over!!

Christmas is officially over and the clean up and reorganization has begun!! FUN FUN!!

The girls loved the holiday season this year and it was great!

We had a fun game night at the Reichert's last night and then the girls both slept over!! Julie did great!! It was her first sleepover other than at grammy and Papa's.

She is now sound asleep on the couch!!

We have one more week off of school and then back to our "routine" on January 5th.

Christmas is Over

Wednesday, December 24, 2008

This is Christmas morning in our house today because Bill works tomorrow! That's ok.. the girls have no idea that it is actually Christmas Eve day not Christmas day!

They had a great time opening gifts and it was great to see the expressions on their faces!!

They both loved all their gifts!

Thanks everyone!

CHOC BEAR DROP OFF!!! DECEMBER 23,2008

Today  our family made a VERY SPECIAL DELIVERY!!  We delivered 300+ stuffed animals to all the sick children at CHOC!!  This has been very successful in the past, but today's drop off was the biggest and most meaningful to Bill and I.

I say that, because even Julie understood where all these animals were going and why they were being delivered there!

When I asked the girls where we were going they both responded with " We are going to deliver the animals to the sick children to make them feel better!!"

That's what it's all about!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve!!

On Saturday, December 20th, Ally performed in her 3rd Nutcracker performance!

She had 2 parts this year and had so much fun! Bill and I are so proud of her.

Attached is a picture of her and Bill after her 1st show. (there were 2 that day)

Enjoy!!

First Entry- December 22, 2008

HI Everyone!!

Welcome to our blog. I have created this blog to keep everyone especially family that live far away updated on our busy life here in the McQuaid household.

Today, we hosted a holiday cookie decorating party! It was so much fun to have the kids come over in their jammies and watch them all have so much fun. Today was the first day of winter break. We don't go back to school until January 5th, 2009!!! Wow!! 2009!!  How time flies.

The girls are so excited to have Santa come for a visit to our house. They have the reindeer food all ready for Christmas Eve. Bill and I love seeing the excitement on their faces as they mark off the calendar each day until Christmas Day. Bill works on Christmas this year but he was so kind to take off the 23rd so that the girls will have a "real" Christmas morning on the 24th. The lifestyle of a fireman family!!

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season and a great 2009!

All our love,
Tracy
